Rental agreement
This short-term rental agreement is between Bonnie Hill Inn, acting through its property owner or authorized manager (“Host”), and the primary guest who completes the reservation (“Guest”). The agreement covers the dates, registered guests, charges, add-ons, and security-deposit authorization shown in the final booking summary.
Reservation and payment
- Full payment is due when the reservation is made.
- A reservation is confirmed only after successful payment and remains subject to identity verification and compliance with these policies.
- The Guest must provide the accurate legal name of every overnight guest. No more than five registered overnight guests may stay at the property, and every guest must be at least 18 years old.
- Add-ons requiring approval are not guaranteed until the Host confirms them by email. Approved extensions and added services may be charged to the payment method authorized for the reservation.
Security authorization and incidentals
The payment method may receive a refundable security authorization 24 hours before arrival for the amount disclosed during booking. This is normally an authorization, not an immediate charge. After checkout, the Host may charge documented, reasonably attributable costs for property damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, unpaid extensions or add-ons, and other unpaid reservation charges. The Guest will receive an email explaining any completed incidental charge. An unused authorization is released after the post-stay review; the Guest’s bank controls when the release disappears from the account.
Use of the property
The property may be used only for temporary residential lodging by the registered guests. The Guest is responsible for the conduct of everyone in the party and for leaving the property in substantially the condition in which it was received, ordinary use excepted. Illegal activity, a material safety risk, or a serious rule violation may result in termination of the stay without a refund, to the extent permitted by law.
Host access and unavailable stays
The Host or an authorized service provider may enter when reasonably necessary to address an emergency, protect people or property, complete an urgent repair, or respond to a reported issue. Except in an emergency, reasonable notice will be provided when practical. If the Host must cancel before check-in or cannot provide a habitable property, payments for the unavailable accommodation will be refunded. The Host is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses to the extent permitted by law, and nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
02
Strict cancellation policy
Cancellation deadlines use Los Angeles local time and the scheduled 3 PM check-in.
- 24-hour grace period. A Guest may cancel for a full refund within 24 hours after booking when the reservation was confirmed at least seven days before check-in.
- Seven or more days before check-in. After the grace period, cancellation receives a 50% refund of the lodging price.
- Less than seven days before check-in. The lodging price is nonrefundable.
- After check-in. Unused nights are nonrefundable, except when required by law or when the Host approves a different resolution.
For cancellations made before check-in, unused cleaning charges and unprovided add-ons are refunded. Taxes are refunded when and to the extent required. Approved refunds return to the original payment method; bank processing time varies. The Guest may request a cancellation from the reservation dashboard, and the applicable refund will be shown or confirmed by email before processing.
A full refund will be issued if Bonnie Hill Inn cancels before arrival, if the Guest does not submit required photo identification within 24 hours after booking and the reservation is automatically cancelled, or when applicable law requires a refund.
03

04
Privacy and photo ID
Bonnie Hill Inn collects only the information reasonably needed to quote, process, secure, and manage direct reservations. This may include names, email address, stay dates, guest count, requests, correspondence, transaction details, device or security logs, and the primary guest’s identification document.
Identity verification
- The primary guest must upload a valid government-issued photo ID within 24 hours after booking. JPG, PNG, and PDF files up to 10 MB are accepted.
- The ID is used to verify identity, age, reservation eligibility, and to help prevent fraud or address safety and payment disputes.
- ID files are stored in private, access-controlled storage and reviewed only by the Host or an authorized manager for these purposes.
- ID files are scheduled for deletion one year after upload. A reservation cancelled automatically for missing the 24-hour deadline receives a full refund.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide the stay, communicate with guests, collect and refund payments, maintain calendars, support safety, prevent abuse, keep business and tax records, and comply with legal obligations. Service providers process information only as needed for those functions, including Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting and private storage, and Resend for transactional email. Bonnie Hill Inn does not sell guests’ personal information.
Full card numbers are handled by Stripe rather than stored by the Bonnie Hill Inn booking application. Reservation and transaction records may be retained as reasonably needed for operations, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal compliance. Guests may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable by emailing Info@BonnieHillInn.com. Some records may need to be retained when legally required or necessary to complete the reservation or resolve a dispute.
05
Exterior cameras and noise monitors
Exterior security cameras monitor outdoor areas of the property. There are no security cameras inside guest living spaces. Exterior noise-monitoring devices measure sound levels to help identify excessive noise and protect the surrounding neighborhood; they do not record conversations.
These devices may operate during a stay. Guests may not cover, disconnect, damage, reposition, or otherwise interfere with them. Device information may be reviewed when investigating a safety concern, noise complaint, material house-rule violation, or property incident.
Agreement and changes
The terms presented and accepted at checkout apply to that reservation. The booking summary controls the specific dates, guests, prices, taxes, add-ons, and security authorization. Bonnie Hill Inn may update these public policies for future bookings, but a later update will not replace the version already accepted for a confirmed reservation unless both parties agree or applicable law requires it.
